We have tested several existing and easy to obtain organic/resin pads that work very well with our material. This gives you the choice to use what pads are available to you, or the pads you like the most.
At this time, we are recommending the use of Kool-Stop organic pads as the pad of choice. We have tested these the most extensively, and they are easy to obtain for most brake systems. They offer solid stopping power, good wear and quiet operation when broken in correctly. We are now offering several styles below.
Please be aware that sintered, semi-metallic or full metallic pads should never be used with Scrub rotors. Use only organic or resin pads! If you use a brand other than Kool-Stop, be sure they are 100% organic. We have heard that some pads that are labelled “organic” are actually comprised of metallic particles bound with an organic resin. A pad of this type will quickly damage Scrub Rotors, which is why we are recommending a specific pad at this time.
